As an institution of Higher Education, IBCS complies with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (20 U.S.C. § 1232g, and 34 CFR Part 99). Therefore, in regards to FERPA, IBCS shall comply with Federal and state regulations; notify students, parents, and IBCS employees of their rights and responsibilities; obtain appropriate signatures and consent from interested parties; protect Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as it relates to a student’s record; allow for the review and revision of educational records; maintain records; and follow official and recognized definitions of significant terms.
